I have been debating for a long time whether or not I should start a blog. I have never "blogged" before, but I have read many over the past few years. I titled my blog the "Inspirational Trainer" because I have been told my a number of my clients that I am their inspiration/motivation/etc. So, I'd have to say that my clients are my "inspiration" for this blog.
I don't want to bore you with all of my past, so we will jump ahead to college since that was the most recent. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology (the study of human movement) with an emphasis is strength and conditioning from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. While attending the University I had many jobs in the health and wellness field. From fitness specialist, to strength and conditioning assistant, to group exercise instructor, to building manager, to personal trainer. I have always enjoyed athletics since I had been involved in the most of my life. Overcoming many injuries is what motivated me to want to be a personal trainer. I want to be able to help people get stronger physically and mentally so that they have less of a chance at getting injured along their fitness journey.
I have been personal training for going on 4 years and I currently work at Anytime Fitness in Oshkosh WI as the personal training manager as well as a personal trainer. My true passion is to work with youth athletes. My goal is to in the next few years open my own franchise with the IYCA and Athletic Revolution. The youth population is probably the most severely overlooked group in the fitness industry. I figure if we start educating about the importance of being healthy at a young age it will carry on to adulthood. As we all know it is easier to train someone who has no knowledge on the subject than someone who already feels like they have learned what you want to teach them.
With this blog I will be posting inspirational messages, workouts, nutritional advice, daily updates, etc. If their is anything that you want me to focus on go ahead and write me a note, or leave a comment on one of my posts, so I know how to improve upon the things that I am blogging about. As a new blogger I could use all the help I can get.
